This helped Microsoft engineers and software developers work together and bring new features and functionalities. Recently, Calculator got graphing functionalities.
You’ll soon be able to pin Calculator on top of other apps
Now, two of the most requested Windows Calculator features are in the works and they’ll be available soon enough, as a Microsoft Senior Program Manager confirms on Twitter: The current iteration of Windows Calculator loses focus when you use it with another app every time you scroll or copy something in the second app. The new Calculator will have the ability to be pinned/unpinned on top of apps and Windows 10 users will be able to continue their work while the Calculator app is pinned.
Windows Calculator compact mode will allow you to do basic calculations
Also, the new Windows Calculator will have a new compact mode, smaller that the current minimum window size, and you’ll be able to perform basic calculations in this mode. The Windows Calculator has more features than ever, and developers will continue to improve it. If you want to contribute to the new features, or maybe suggest some new ones, check out the official Windows Calculator GitHub page. There’s no official ETA on the new functionalities, but seeing that they’re already pretty polished, you could see them in Windows 10 pretty soon.
