BitLocker issues resolved

Microsoft pushed KB4507448 to resolve some major issues related to BitLocker. Once the update is installed, BitLocker will no longer go into the recovery mode during the update process.

General security updates

Microsoft released some general security updates for Windows Kernal and some built-in Windows components. The updates are released for Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Wireless Networking, Microsoft Graphics Component, and Windows Server.

KB4507448 known issues

Fortunately, the recent release didn’t introduce too many issues. However, Microsoft warns its users that they might experience two major issues after installing KB4507448. TYou may encounter the error STATUS_BAD_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL (0xC00000A5) while performing operations on folders or files saved on Cluster Shared Volume. Secondly, your system may fail to respond properly if you are running any of the following McAfee products: McAfee VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) 8.8, McAfee Endpoint Security (ENS) Threat Prevention 10.x and McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention (Host IPS) 8.0. The Redmond giant is currently investigating both of these issues. Hopefully, a permanent fix will arrive within the next few weeks.
