But, Surface Pro 4 is relatively new device, which means that some bugs or problems may occur. And after screen and Wi-Fi issues on Surface Pro 4, some users noticed that the pen pressure isn’t working properly, as paint brush strokes aren’t equal when working in programs like Adobe Photoshop. “I love the new SP4 pen, but I’ve noticed the pen pressure is not consistent. The biggest problem is that paint brush strokes in Photoshop don’t taper smoothly when drawing. I tried using the SP4 pen on my Surface Pro 3 and it doesn’t have any problem.” Microsoft recognized the problem, but one of its employees only said that the company is working on the fix, without mentioning when the fixing update will arrive. Microsoft’s employee also pointed out that the cause of the problem lays in the outdated version of Photoshop, but since users confirmed that they’re using the latest version of the software, and that the problem appears on other similar programs as well, obviously the problem is not in third-party programs. One of the users reported that in the program called Lazy Nezumi, pen pressure sensor works well. But no one else confirmed this, so we can’t surely tell you if it’s true. The program is paid, so it is not advisable to buy it just for experimental purposes, but you can use the 30-days trial version, to see if the issue actually doesn’t occur in this program. Hopefully Microsoft will provide a fixing update in the next 30 days. It is normal for a new device to features certain bugs and errors, but it looks like errors in Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book are pretty consistent, so Microsoft will have to do a lot of work to provide a fixing update for all of them.
