After installing the latest update for Pandora, Xbox One users will be able to listen to music in the background while playing games. Because of the way the background music feature for Xbox One, very few apps have this ability for now, so Pandora is already ahead of its competition on Microsoft’s platform. Here’s the complete changelog of the update:

To be able to stream music in the background with Pandora, you first need to update the app to the latest version. After that, open the app, select the music you want to play, and then hit the Home button to navigate to the game or activity you want to continue. If you want to manage playback while in-game, double-tap the Home button to open the menu which will allows you to change songs and other options. As we said, Pandora is among the rare music streaming apps that support Xbox One’s background music feature. Other apps compatible with this feature are Simple Background Music Player, VLC, and of course Microsoft’s Groove Music, which recently received support. The update is available now and you can download it by updating Pandora in the Xbox Store.
