New on the list is the addition of Loop components that will assist users in communicating and working better from home. The company has been working tirelessly to make the Teams App be the best communication app. A little over a week ago, the company introduced a security feature to keep users safe while communicating.

Microsoft has been at the forefront and very open about collaborating with third-party applications to enhance user experience. According to the company,

Aside from the Loop components, users also have a new search results page to look forward to. According to Microsoft, the search feature will make it easier and faster to find people, messages, answers, and files like never before. The new search results page now has AI-powered filtering capabilities, prompt results, and has a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate. There is also a Top Hits section that has been added at the top of search suggestions that displays the most relevant search results.

Education updates

Educators and learners have not been forgotten as there is a new Whiteboard integration that allows instructors to add a whiteboard reference to assignments. There is also an option to include links and add content from EdTech apps into Teams assignments. Cortana markets are also being expanded to international audiences and have a wider reach.

Other updates

Aside from the two features, Microsoft has also added additional updates to the Teams App to support more functions. A new ‘content from camera’ allows users to access content directly from physical artifacts in high resolution.  The polling feature also has newly added capabilities that now allow users to ask open-ended questions and view responses.  For enhanced security, you can now sign out remotely for Teams devices.
