Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 4 are plagued by battery drain issues

After some battery drain problems affecting the Surface Pro 5 and 6 devices, now it seems that Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 4 are plagued by the same bug. Here’s how some affected users are describing the problem on Microsoft’s community forum: The cause for this battery drain bug seems to be the latest firmware updates. I am having the same issue.  Was plugged in at the office @ 100%.  Drove home which was about 25 minutes and powered it up and was @ 75%.  Surface Laptop 2.  This started after the last firmware update. My 2 yr old @surface Pro 4 can’t even get past 2 hours these days doing the same thing… This last creative update made it a battery suck. — Jason Falter ⚔️ (@JasonFalter) August 25, 2019 Due to all these battery problems, we may see some Surface and Windows updates sooner rather than later, as Microsoft hinted in a tweet response: If you’re having the same problem, share your experience in the comments section below.
