It seems that the Windows Journal has a good amount of security issues which are now increasing in number. This is the reason why Microsoft has decided to just discontinue the application completely instead of fixing all issues that appear every month. The Windows Update KB3161102 has been released for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 OS and once you install it on your computer, you will notice that Windows Journal will disappear. Microsoft Windows Journal Users Should Move To OneNote Application If you’ve been using Windows Journal until now, we are pretty sure that you’re quite disappointed to not see this application on your computer anymore. Well, don’t worry, because you have an alternative and this is the reason why Microsoft is suggesting you to use the OneNote application. OneNote is an application that Microsoft is actively supporting nowadays and it is now available on all platforms (including non-Windows platforms). Microsoft claims that OneNote is more secure than the Windows Journal and that it will not take long for the users to learn how to use this application. However, if you don’t like the OneNote application, then you should know that Microsoft is also allowing you to manually download the Windows Journal on your computer, but keep in mind that it will still be affected by the security issues that it had before. After manually installing the Windows Journal application, you will receive a notification that will inform you about the security risks. What are your thoughts about the Windows Journal? Will you still use this application after this update? RELATED STORIES TO CHECK OUT:
