Microsoft renews the partnership with Samsung
The bigger news for some is that Microsoft will be on stage presenting their apps and the integration with the Android phones. This is particularly interesting, especially after the rocky beginning of the partnership. No information was officially confirmed, but it’s speculated that the Galaxy Note 10 will feature a “Microsoft apps” folder that will not only have Skype, OneDrive, and Office apps, but also the newly developed Your Phone app. The Your Phone app will bring additional Android integration with Windows 10, users being able to receive notifications, photos, messages, and even answer them directly from their PC.
More Microsoft apps on Android devices
Until now, Redmond’s integration in the mobile world wasn’t a giant success, but the company has over 150 apps that have 500 million or more downloads on mobile. It’s possible that we could see more Microsoft apps not only on the new Galaxy Note 10, but in all the Samsung line-up of smartphones from now on. With the fall of Windows Phone, Microsoft focused more on apps and their integration in Android and iOS as a way to keep themselves relevant in the mobile world. The collaboration with Samsung could bring some interesting changes in the future, and we’ll see many of them as soon as next week.
